What is Bridges to Motherhood?

“Bridges” is a special group offering practical help and emotional support in order to meet some of the needs encountered during pregnancy. “Bridges” is for any woman who is either pregnant, or has recently had a baby, who is looking for support, friendship and assistance.

What Does “Bridges” Offer?

Support – “Bridges” volunteers understand the concerns that come with pregnancy or being a new mother. We are dedicated to providing a loving, confidential environment where young mothers can safely and comfortably share these concerns.

Education – Our moms have the opportunity to become familiar with the development of their baby, labor and delivery, breast-feeding, and caring for their newborn with the help of speakers who specialize in these areas. Opportunities are also be available to develop important life skills that will be helpful for them and their baby’s future. We will also let them know what other social services are available in the community for them and their baby.

Mommy & Me Market – Moms can “shop” for maternity and baby items in our mom and baby boutique with the “Mommy dollars” they will earn.

When and Where Does “Bridges” Meet?

We meet on the first four Wednesdays of the month . Meetings begin at 6:30pm, and are held at our office in Chula Vista. For more information on where the meetings are currently being held, call Silent Voices: 619-422-0757. Ask for Raquel Beam – our Bridges to Motherhood Coordinator.
