Our History

In 1984, the founders of Silent Voices recognized the need for services to women struggling with pregnancy and abortion related issues. Operating under the direction of Horizon Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational church, Silent Voices began providing care to pregnant women, single mothers and their children, as well as to women who had already had an abortion. In 1991, supported by churches from all over San Diego county, Silent Voices moved into an independent location in Chula Vista.

Our free services include: pregnancy tests, abortion/pregnancy education, emotional, physical and spiritual support and post abortion support groups. While Silent Voices firmly believes in and advocates the sanctity of human life, all of our clients know that they are loved and accepted no matter what their situations, backgrounds or choices. Our prayerful desire is to see women come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Our goal with every client - whether pregnant or seeking post abortion help - is that we would have an opportunity to share the Good News that Jesus loves her and wants to be a part of her life. We believe this goal will be accomplished as our clients experience His love in action, and their physical and emotional needs are met.

Silent Voices believes that God is the Author of life, that all human life is valuable - born and pre-born - and that abortion is never the answer to an unplanned, "crisis" pregnancy. We are dedicated to giving compassionate, practical assistance to women experiencing unplanned pregnancies, providing accurate information about the realities and possible consequences of abortion, and offering help, hope and healing through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to women already struggling with the trauma of abortion. In keeping with this belief, Silent Voices does not make referrals to known abortion providers."
