Clinical Staff Positions Available
Nurse Manager:
The Nurse/Clinic Manager provides support and care to the clients and maintains professional standards of care. Under the general supervision of the Medical Director and Executive director/CEO, the Nurse/Clinic Manager is responsible for planning and performing direct and indirect nursing interventions. He/she is also responsible for a variety of other clinic functions: supervising, organizing, planning, assessing and monitoring the medical services provided by the Pregnancy Medical Clinic. The Nurse/Clinic Manager also works in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and lay counselors to assure that patients are receiving the best medical, nursing, spiritual and psycho-social care possible. If specifically interested in the Nurse Manager position, please contact Sharon Pearce at sharonpearce@silentvoices.org
RDMS or Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound Technician:
We are in need of medical personnel (RN, MD, PA, NP, RDMS). To provide support in limited obstetrical ultrasounds onboard our mobile clinic, you must at least be a Registered Nurse or a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Training may be available, for those who do not have an ultrasound background, based on your time with us as a volunteer and level of commitment. We will be launching our Mobile Medical Clinic soon, and we’d like to be able to provide medical services every day. We are specifically looking for a Radiologist to read our ultrasounds!
Client Advocate:
Volunteer Client Advocates provide support to the mothers and fathers who visit our mobile and offer life affirming options and resources. They have good listening and communication skills and assist the client in considering all her options as she decides the path she wishes to take with her pregnancy. The client advocate is familiar with all of the programs and support we have to offer and assists the client in enrollment or referrals to outside support. Training is available through our Making Life Disciples course (Facilitator led) or The Love Approach (Self-directed).
MMU Driver:
We have a 25ft Mercedes Benz Sprinter as a Mobile Medical Unit. We offer driver training to those interested in volunteering to take our van out to our various clinic locations throughout the San Diego Southbay area or to community events. No special license required, just good driving record.
